Director Andrew g Bobola and Musical Director Ron Procopio are looking for a cast of various ages to portray a variety of Seuss characters, jungle animals, and the citizens of WHOVILLE. 
 In particular they are looking for 5 children, including one boy, age 9-12 for the role of JoJo.  Other cast members should be from the age range 15 through adult.
Specific characters include:
Horton the Elephant:  Male lead, tenor
JoJo: Male, age 9-12, lead, tenor
Gertrude McFuzz: Female lead, soprano
The Cat in the Hat: Male lead, tenor/baritone
The Sour Kangaroo: Female supporting, alto
Mr. Mayor: Male supporting, tenor
Mrs. Mayor: Female supporting, Mezzo-soprano
Mayzie LaBird: Female supporting, Mezzo
General Genghis Kahn Schmitz: Male featured, baritone
Wickersham Brothers: Male featured, tenor, baritone, bass
Bird Girls: Female featured, soprano, mezzo, alto
Vlad Vladikoff: Male ensemble, flexible
Judge Yertle the Turtle: Male ensemble, baritone
Grinch: Male ensemble, baritone
ENSEMBLE: Male and Female, flexible ranges
Those auditioning for a major role should come with a prepared song (preferably NOT from the show) with sheet music in an appropriate key that will show your vocal range.  Those auditioning for an ensemble role will be taught a song and will be auditioned in groups.  Some will be asked to do a cold reading from the script.
Please come prepared with any potential rehearsal conflict dates (vacations, nights/times you are not available).  You are not required to attend both nights. Rehearsal nights to be determined after casting. 
Performances will be held
November 15-17 and 22-24
Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30
Sundays at 2:00
at Jenks Auditorium
350 Division Street – Pawtucket, RI 
(across from McCoy Stadium)
Rehearsals will be at St. Margaret or Jenks
